Research And Application Of Contemporary Realistic Figure Prints In Sichuan Province

In the world of printmaking,the figure woodcut has always been throughout the history of world art,and also plays a decisive role in Chinese traditional culture.After the founding of New China,Sichuan Painting School emerged a group of outstanding woodcut artists.They took the phrase "to bask in the sun in the mass struggle" as their motto and planted the idea of "realism" in their minds.The works created by these artists in different time and environment have different artistic styles,reflecting distinct epochal,emotional and expressive features.Therefore,the study of Sichuan figure prints is not only the exploration and research of regional culture,but also the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese art.The article is divided into two parts:In the first part,Wu Fan,Li Huanming and Xu Kuang are the representatives to discuss the artistic features of contemporary realistic figure prints in Sichuan.Starting with the history of contemporary printmaking in Sichuan,this paper studies the artistic characteristics of the three masters from the background of the times,the selection of materials,the form of composition,the emotion and mood of knife technique,and draws the similarities and differences of the three masters.The latter part focuses on my creation and is divided into two stages: practice practice and graduation creation.The artistic characteristics and methods created by the predecessors are all worthy of being studied and borrowed by the younger generations who are engaged in the art of printmaking.I will combine the artistic features created by the three predecessors to complete my graduation creation.In the creative process,the author explores the creative techniques of realism and the spiritual culture of the Tibetan people,and explores the creative meaning from the aspects of creative exploration,creative reasons,composition forms,color emotions,and techniques,respectively,to complete the graduation creation.
