Application Of Opera Elements In Film And Television Animation

Whether from the development of domestic animation or the inheritance of traditional Chinese opera culture,we are in a grim situation.In the film Farewell My Concubine,Master Guan has such a line:"He is human,he has to listen to the opera,not to listen to the opera,he is not human." Now we can not understand the prosperity of opera in that era.In the golden age of opera,every time famous performers perform,the situation that tens of thousands of people are empty lanes and one ticket is hard to get is no longer in existence.Similarly,throughout the history of animation development in China,from green to prosperous,and then to the present few excellent works,which is undoubtedly worthy of our industry’s reflection.Reviewing the works of the Chinese animation in its heyday,"Princess Iron Fan","Uproar In Heaven" and "Proud General" all have inextricably linked with the opera culture.It can be said that the traditional opera culture of our country is the cradle of the birth of Chinese animation and provides rich resources and high-quality nutrition for the stylized development of Chinese animation.In this paper,the relationship between drama and animation as the thread,to opera elements in the application of animation creation as the theme.From the six aspects of "color element","modeling element","music element","scene element","decorative pattern element" and "theme element" of opera,this paper deeply discusses how opera element is applied in animation creation,and gives examples to analyze its application at home and abroad.With the development of opera culture for thousands of years,it has provided fertile ground for domestic animation,but now it still has immeasurable potential to be tapped.This is both an opportunity and a challenge for the animators.First,we must have a deep excavation and study of our traditional culture;secondly,we systematically select and comb the elements of the opera,select the essence and make use of it;finally,combine the traditional opera elements with the themes of the contemporary era,and find out the most suitable combination with the animation works.Elements are recreated.This will continue the inheritance of opera culture and play a positive role in the re-prosperity of opera.The prosperity of opera not only represents the revival of traditional culture,but also is a key to improve national cultural self-confidence.It also provides a good condition for domestic animation to open up a new situation and create a strong fulcrum for domestic animation to stand in the world’s animation forest.
