The New Exploration Into Genealogy Research Of Li Vessels In The Yanshan Mountain Area During The Early Second Millennium BC

In 1989,Mr.Bu Gong wrote the article "Genealogy research of Li vessels in the Yanshan Mountain Area during xia-shang period".He selected abdomen shape as the standard to distinguish the Li vessels in this area.I agree and follow this standard to classify the Li vessels in the Yanshan Mountain Area during the early second millennium BC.So-called "new exploration",because,more than 20 years after the publication of Mr.Bu Gong's article,the excavation materials of many sites in the Yanshan Mountain Area have been published.The number of Li vessels has been greatly enriched,so that Li vessels can be better observed.Second,I notice that many reports are relatively vague in description of the age--many scholars generally called "the xia-early shang period",which is not conducive to the intensive study on cultural appearance of complex areas.A large number of Li vessels are arranged in an entire manner,more accurate time and space positions might be found for all kinds of Li vessels.Third,this paper focuses on the making method in order to observe the form and structure of Li vessels.Through the typological analysis of Li vessels,the development and evolution of various types of Li vessels are sorted out.The purpose of above-mention is to explore the definition of archaeological culture and the change of cultural pattern.
