This paper mainly discusses the realism under different historical conditions in China and the west, and the artists express their inner feelings through different painting forms under different social backgrounds. The presentation of the work has a certain social effect, evokes people's response, and at the same time can trigger people's thinking about the current situation of farmers' life.Western realistic oil painting not only influences Chinese art,but also Chinese realism. This paper is divided into six chapters, each of which is discussed as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the historical background of the outbreak of the great revolution which was the direct fuse of the prosperity of western realism. The concrete process of realism can be regarded as the dynamic system of change and development. The specific dynamic evolution process has experienced the "spontaneous form" in the budding stage, which is the development period when realism has not fully awakened.The"self-consciousness" in the generation stage began to appear in the works with secular culture as the theme.Although the theme selection has religious elements, the technique tends to show the humanism spirit. The arrival of the "complete form" in the mature stage marks the birth of real realism, and the trend of realism in literature and art is also called realism. The growth of Chinese realism, influenced by Soviet realism,is the result of its"eastward spread of western learning".In 1942,Mao Zedong published his speech<at the yan'an forum on literature>,which mentioned that the content of the work should be combined with the essence of real life.Chen Duxiu's<new youth>also said realism and naturalism should be shown in literary and art circles. The second chapter introduces the common ground between miller and Luo Zhongli. As Chinese and western realistic painters, they base their artistic expression on real life and put forward the slogan of "art for life and people".In the selection of creation materials, truth is regarded as beauty. No matter the life and appearance of ordinary people are ugly or beautiful,as long as it is true,it is "beautiful".Realistic writing techniques, realism is the first proposed by Gustave Courbeti.Realism has influenced most creators.Miller and Luo Zhongli are among them.Encouraged by realism, artists pursue calmness,do not blindly believe in art principles that have appeared, and observe ordinary things around them. The same emotion, emotional connotation is the sense of confirmation that people have. When we talk about the same emotions,we are talking about the same emotions--the common emotions that we share with each other, not the pathetic, compassionate emotions that we have in our livesThe third chapter introduces the difference between miller and luo zhongli in the image of farmers. The reason why miller chose the image of farmer as the object of creation was influenced by religion.Because his grandmother was a devout Christian, she taught miller to be a good person.Such a sentence impressed miller in his heart and influenced his life as his own creed.Due to the influence of living environment, miller was born in the countryside and loved the "native" life.Usually also like the emotion rich true, thick, not false work.Luo Zhongli lived in the countryside for a long time, which was the direct reason why he chose the image of peasants as the theme of his creation. He liked to enjoy the process of creating peasant themes;Luo zhongli once said:"painting farmers is my lifelong desire,I will devote my life to research, never look back. The fourth chapter shows the difference between miller and luo zhongli.Respectively from the picture level difference; The difference of picture atmosphere; The difference of the formal beauty of the picture is discussed respectively.Miller's works are characterized by the form of beauty, pay attention to the appearance of beauty, through the senses can get aesthetic feeling of art works.Characteristics of luo zhongli's works:in his early works, the delicate facial texture is shown by delicate techniques, which has never appeared in his previous works. At the same time,"free form" is shown in the rigorous "composition" picture, which is simple and simple in image, simple and refined in technique of expression, and full of strong emotional penetration. The fifth chapter analyses the works of miller and luo zhongli.Miller's winnower is a turning point of his realism. The whole picture of the work "ear picker" presents a sense of harmony and has a kind of idyllic beauty.Specific from the picture dynamic, composition, color and other aspects of the interpretation.Luo zhongli's father is analyzed from the aspects of composition and creation background.Chapter six considers the difference between miller and Luo zhongli. It mainly tells about the influence of personal preference on the difference in the style of their two works, discusses from different aspects, and finally comes to a conclusion.
