A Study Of The Acceptance Of Chinese New Sensation Novels In Mainland China

The"New Sensation School"is a school that has a short but of great significance in the history of modern Chinese Literature.The creation of this school has long ceased,and the members of the school have fallen scattered.But the remarks about the school have not yet ended.Since the birth of the"New Sensation School",there has been a great controversy in terms of naming,personnel composition,characteristics of works and value evaluation.Some people derogate it as"the literature of those who live on interest under capitalism",while others regard the main writers of the genre as"the pioneer of modern Chinese novels.”Throughout the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature,the status of the"New Sensation School”has gone through ups and downs.However,it is in the midst of ups and downs and constant controversy that the writing of literary history has gradually stabilized,the outline of schools has gradually become clear,and the labels of"city"and"modern"have been recognized."New Sensation School"has stepped into the sequence of "classicization"literature,which is deeply related to the artistic value of the genre itself,as well as the social and historical situation,literature and art policies,and the aesthetic tendency of the public in different periods.It is in the process of being spoken and accepted that the "New Sensation School”really completes and generates literary value.In the existing studies,scholars tend to elucidate the novels of the New Sensation,but less from the perspective of literary acceptance.This paper takes reception aesthetics as a theoretical perspective,pays attention to the overall acceptance of schools,and enters into the study of "New Sensation School"from the two dimensions of ordinary readers and professional readers.According to the three stages of the acceptance process of "New Sensation School"literature in mainland China,the article divides it into three chapters:the occurrence period of "New Sensation School" literature in the 1930s and 1940s,the period of rediscovery and rediscovery after the 1980s,and the period of "classicization" after entering the new century.This paper combs the process of acceptance evolution,explores the forming factors of the acceptance of "New Sensation School" literature in the process of classicization",and reflects on the existing problems in this process.
