A Study Of Sound Visualization Based On Synesthesia Effect

This graduation project is a study on the sound visualization of the synaesthetic effect,taking the rain sound as an example.Synaesthesia is an emotional cognitive reflection of five kinds of perceptions(visual,auditory,olfactory,taste,and tactile),which is an aesthetic way of observing things from multiple angles.This paper explores the relationship between auditory and visual interpersonal interactions from the perspective of synaesthesia,transmits the sound information by visualizing the sound,and constructs a synaesthetic experience for the viewers by using the ink symbols and abstract geometric patterns.The bridge creates a visual image with a synaesthetic effect,which visually evokes auditory memory and guides the viewer to progressive emotional resonance.In the demand research section,in this part,the author analyzes the sound elements in the graphic design works,the visual associations of the visual patterns,and the sounds from other media through the planar paper media sound visualization works,the dynamic sound visualization works,and the experimental sound visualization works.The three presentation methods of information summarize their visual expression characteristics and the emotional meanings conveyed.Finally,it is clear that the deep expression of visual information on visual images provides ideas for the study of design practice.In the literature research part,in this part,the author firstly analyzes the concept,characteristics and performance of the multi-disciplinary in detail,and concludes that the synaesthesia helps the viewer to deeply explore the essence of things in the design,and the progressive transmission of experience and experience The function of sensory and emotional resonance of the viewer;through the case to illustrate the imagery and meaning conveyed by the expression of the sense of hearing and visual use;then the physical characteristics of the sound and the different manifestations of subjective cognition in the visualization,summarizing the sound vision The way of morphological interpretation,the aesthetic effect it brings in design and its advantages in conveying design;finally,the feasibility of using ink as a visual symbol of sound,and finding it as a dominant abstrac visual element and sound non-material The commonality between the two attributes,the picture is raised from the simple visual effect through the viewer's visual sense to the aesthetic cognition.In the design practice part,the author selects the natural rain sound as the research object of the soundscape.Through the literature theory research,it is found that the language characteristics of the ink can be combined with the non-physical nature of the rain sound.At the same time,in the research part,the communication characteristics of the geometric abstract figure are known.It helps the visual expression of sound visualization,which leads to the synaesthetic aesthetic of the synaesthesia.The combination of rain,ink and abstract geometric figures reflects the sound image and creates a sense of the mood of the rain,conveying the corresponding meaning.
