The advent of the information age has prompted the rapid development of the Internet from the emergence to the recognition of a variety of industries.Nowadays,it has not only existed in people's lives and work,but also played an important role in education in recent years.With the economic growth of our country,many enterprises have stepped into the international market and participated in the market competition.The country has carried out the reform of English education,which combines English education with network technology,and forms a new teaching thought and teaching mode.Taking “Internet +” as the background,English is used as the background.With the rapid transformation of teaching,students' English application ability can be cultivated,their cognition of English knowledge is more profound,and their use of English language competence is more proficient.This paper studies the research on the cultivation of English application ability of vocational college students under the background of "Internet +".From the perspective of relevant concepts and theories of higher vocational English education,this paper deeply analyzes the influence of Internet on the transformation of English education.The difficulties,challenges and advantages of English education in this context.From the training of English reading ability to the teaching practice of English writing ability,this paper analyzes the ways to cultivate English application ability from different angles.Under the background of "Internet +",the higher vocational English teaching obtains more abundant teaching resources and wider development prospect.
