Today, with the popularity of photography tools, billions of people around the world have picked up cameras, mobile phones and other instruments to start recording images. It is undeniable that a new era of "Universal photography" has arrived. This completely spontaneous and self-contained image creation reminds me of an art creation that is rarely influenced by traditional art or cultural education, and it is Art Burt. The term Art Brut was originally derived from the famous French contemporary artist Jean Dubuffet,it is now described as a new form of art that has not been spontaneously created by systematic education. The video of Art Brut,as a branch of native art,is particularly prominent in this era,for reasons such as more convenient shooting and recording methods and the booming mobile Internet.Under the fermentation of both, the low-cost and low-threshold image art creation method has quickly become the medium of choice for the Art Brut's practitioners. Many of the works of art have also been transformed into the virtual network world by changing the traditional way of physical display, thus generating unprecedented energy and influence. The concept of video Art Brut has been constantly evolving in the discussion and research of scholars, and the boundaries of its definition are constantly expanding and blurring. Moreover, the definition of universal photography in the context of the media era is also controversial in academic research. In the moment, can these two areas be redefined with a new attitude and vision? Is there a possibility of some leaps and overlaps between them?If there are boundaries, are there relatively clear concepts and methods to divide each other? Therefore, this paper attempts to explore the coincidence and boundary between the universal photography and the native video art in the context of the popularization of photography tools in the self-media era from a new perspective.
