Research On Virtual Image In Documentary Creation

Since Robert Flahardy's nanook of the north came out,the documentary has existed as an independent film and television art form.And the debate about documentary authenticity has never stopped.From "Acting out" at Flahardy's time,to John Grierson came up with"creative processing",To the"real movie" and "direct movie" theories think that one must maintain absolute documentary,and until to the new documentary films.Documentary and virtual images,as documentary creation techniques,have been experiencing symbiosis-separation-symbiosis.Since the end of the 20th century,with the arrival of the digital era,digital technology has been widely used in documentary creation.As a completely created virtual image category,digital special effects have unprecedented impact and challenge on the reality of documentaries.As a result,the creation technique of documentaries has been diversified,and the concept of reality of documentaries has undergone profound changes.This paper takes the virtual image in documentary creation as the entry point and combines a large number of literature and documentary works to sort out the development of documentary and virtual image.The categories and application principles of virtual images at different levels of digital special effects and scene reproduction are summarized and sorted out.And after analyzing the development process of the documentary concept of truth,the author puts forward a new concept of documentary reality:the authenticity of creative subject,text and audience object.And put forward relevant opinions and suggestions on the creation of future documentaries.
