Thai drama is the only TV drama in Southeast Asia that has successfully entered the Chinese market.In recent years,many Thai dramas have been broadcasted in China,from the romance drama "Full House","The Unwilling Bride"," Love Destiny " to the BL drama," Lovesick "," Sotus "," 2 Moons" and " Love by Chance " are deeply loved by Chinese audiences and have a high market share in the film and television market.The Thai TV series can be successfully spread in China,which indicates that the Thai drama has certain appeal to the Chinese audience,or that the Thai drama has a good adaptability to the Chinese audience's acceptance psychology.This is the main concern of this article.This paper believes that based on the "social type theory" audience theory,the Thai drama has the corresponding audience type in China,that is,it has its popular market foundation,and should discover and analyze the group characteristics of the Thai drama audience.Based on the theory of "use and satisfaction",Thai dramas must have better adaptability in the acceptance of Chinese audiences.The psychological needs and characteristics of these audiences should be analyzed.Then the analysis of the success of Thai drama in China must be based on the exploration of the content of Thai drama and its Chinese audience.To this end,this paper mainly uses text analysis and questionnaire survey methods to conduct research.First of all,it sorts out the history and current situation of Thai drama in the Chinese market.Then,it analyzes the content and form characteristics of Thai drama,the Chinese audience acceptance behavior and psychology of Thai drama;then,the adaptability of the two Discussed.Finally,on the basis of the above analysis and summary,it puts forward some inspirations from Thai dramas to do a good job in the production of film and television culture in China.
