A Study On Marcuse's Thought Of Technology Alienation

Herbert Marcuse is a famous Frankfurt school social critical theorist who has deeply thought and analyzed the status quo of the developed capitalist industrial society,and absorbed Hegel's rational thought,Marx's theory of labor alienation,Flo Ide psychoanalytic theory and other predecessors thought enriched their own theories.It reveals the reality that human freedom is constantly controlled by technology,and believes that the loss of modern human freedom stems from the uncritical application and trust of technology.This article consists of six parts:The first part is an introduction.It mainly discusses the research background,purpose and significance of Marcuse's technology alienation thought,the research status at home and abroad and the innovation points.The second part is the realistic background and theoretical origin of Marcuse's technology alienation thought.It mainly discusses the formation of Marcuse's alienation thought from the two aspects of Marcuse's life and his essence of the thoughts of his predecessors.The third part is the technology alienation and its manifestation.Firstly,the main contents of the alienation thought are introduced,and further discussion is made from the one-dimensional human,social and natural alienation.Among them,the main content of technology alienation includes Marcuse's technical view,he believes that technology is not neutral and performs ideological functions.One-dimensional people manifest themselves in alienation during labor,consumption is manipulated,and revolution and critical consciousness are lost.The one-dimensional social main content political aspect is the integration of opposites,cultural commodification and the one-dimensionality of life.Natural alienation mainly criticizes the alienation of nature caused by false consumption.A comprehensive review of Marcuse's technology alienation thought.The fourth part is the root and elimination of technological alienation.From the perspective of technological alienation,it is essentially the alienation of human beings,social institutions,and the break of technical rationality and value rationality.This paper discusses the ways of dissipating alienation from three aspects:emancipation of liberation to achieve human liberation,establishment of non-repressive society through artistic revolution,and restoration of beauty in nature.The fifth part is the limitation and contemporary value of Marcuse's technology alienation thought.It discusses the limitations of its alienation thought,its contemporary performance and its enlightenment and significance to us.Admonish us to use technology to pay attention to promoting value rationality and avoid falling into technological alienation.The sixth part is the conclusion.It mainly summarizes the formation,manifestation,roots and resolution of Marcuse's alienation thought and its enlightenment to us.
