| As the most widely used typeface in modern society in Inner Mongolia,Mongolian white style has the characteristics of uniform stroke thickness,sharp edges and corners,and standard font structure,which is suitable for long reading.Its creation has greatly improved the printing quality and dissemination quality of Mongolian books.However,there are few records about the emergence and evolution of Mongolian white font.White font plays a pivotal role in the existing Mongolian font.Many excellent fonts have been derived from white font,and its influence is generally visible.Taking printing technology and publishing materials as clues,this thesis traces the formation factors and evolution of Mongolian white font,summarizes the modeling characteristics of contemporary Mongolian white font,and provides theoretical support for the design and application of white font and the development of contemporary Mongolian font design theory.Through literature reading and research,this study has collected the information related to Mongolian white font,such as early printed typefaces,woodcut typefaces,printed typefaces and refined typefaces.The materials come from museums,libraries,the Inner Mongolia Academy of Social Sciences and other institutions.In addition,we also interviewed well-known academic experts to obtain more information about Mongolian white font.On this basis,the collected data are sorted out and summarized,the Mongolian white font in different periods is compared,the modeling characteristics of Mongolian white font in each period are analyzed,the evolution process of Mongolian white font stroke form from the Qing Dynasty to the contemporary Mongolian white font is combed,and the formation and development of Mongolian white font is explored based on this.It is concluded that the typeface like Mongolian white font first appeared in the Chinese book cover documents of the Golden Horde in the 13th-14 th century,and the modeling features of contemporary Mongolian white font are analyzed and summarized in detail. |
