With the further horizontal and vertical development of the Internet,the influence of the Internet on people's daily life and learning style is everywhere,and the resulting behavior of adolescent Internet addiction has become an important issue that researchers in psychology and pedagogy pay close attention to.In particular,the adverse effects of excessive addiction to online games on teenagers'physical and mental health,studies and interpersonal relationships have received extensive attention.Therefore,it has become one of the focuses of psychological and pedagogical research to reveal the formation mechanism of teenagers'online game addiction.This study intends to start from the psychological flexibility through two studies to explore the psychological flexibility of China's young network game addiction mechanism.In the first study,a cross-sectional study design is adopted to investigate the mediating mechanism between psychological flexibility and adolescents'online game addiction.On this basis,the second study uses the intervention study design to investigate whether adolescents'online game addiction can be improved through the improvement of psychological flexibility.The two studies are detailed as follows:Study 1:705 middle school students are selected as the research objects.Psychological flexibility questionnaire,self-compassion questionnaire and online game addiction questionnaire are used to investigate.The results are as follows:(1)empirical avoidance and cognitive integration are negatively correlated with self-compassion and positively correlated with online game addiction.Self-compassion is negatively correlated with online game addiction.Empirical avoidance and cognitive integration are negatively correlated with negative self-compassion.There was a significant positive correlation between cognitive integration and positive self-compassion.Positive self-compassion and negative self-compassion are significantly negatively correlated with online game addiction.(2)self-compassion plays a mediating role between experiential avoidance and cognitive integration and online game addiction;Positive self-compassion and negative self-compassion also play mediating roles between experiential avoidance and online game addiction.Negative self-compassion plays a mediating role between cognitive integration and online game addictionStudy 2:thirty-two adolescent subjects were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group for a one-month group counseling intervention.In this study,before the implementation of the intervention(T1),after the implementation of the intervention(T2),and one month after the end of the intervention(T3),the psychological flexibility,self-compassion,online game addiction and other variables of the two groups were investigated by questionnaires.The experimental group and control group three results are repetitive measure analysis of variance,the results show that the experimental group after the test,after a delay of self-compassion were significantly higher than the previous survey,empirical avoidance and cognitive fusion,online game addiction was significantly lower than before,and the control group significantly higher than the previous empirical avoided after test,three other variables data and no significant difference.Based on the above two studies,this study draws the following conclusions:Conclusion:(1)psychological flexibility(experiential avoidance and cognitive integration)can directly affect online game addiction or indirectly through self-compassion.Further test shows that:empirical avoidance can also indirectly affect online game addiction through negative self-compassion;Cognitive integration can indirectly affect online game addiction through positive self-compassion.(2)the intervention based on acceptance and commitment therapy can effectively improve the level of psychological flexibility and self-compassion so as to reduce the degree of online game addiction.
