Research On The Application Of Chinese Elements In Contemporary Animated Films

With the gradual improvement of China's comprehensive national strength and the gradual enhancement of international influence,Chinese culture has once again become the focus of the world.However,with the globalization of culture and the invasion of foreign cultures,the dissemination of Chinese culture has met with new opportunities and challenges.We urgently need to find a new way to disseminate Chinese culture.As a highly entertaining art form,animated movies are popular with audiences of all ages for their easy-to-understand story content,vivid characters and impressive audio-visual effects.Applying Chinese elements representing the essence of Chinese culture to animated movies can spread Chinese culture in a popular way,which makes it easier for the audience to have resonance.In the field of animated film in our country,there are many excellent animated films which draw lessons from and absorb Chinese culture,but in the final analysis,the combination with our national characteristics and cultural essence is not mature and perfect,so the spread of domestic animated films lacking Chinese characteristics in the world can not achieve the desired results.Therefore,there are few animated movies that can truly represent the Chinese culture and be loved by the public and go to the world.There is no doubt that the integration of Chinese elements into animated film works is the key to Chinese animation going abroad and going to the world.The integration of Chinese elements into animated film can make the world understand China better,and is also a key link to disseminate Chinese cultural concepts.This paper focuses on the analysis of the current situation of the application of Chinese elements in contemporary animated movies.Taking the two most popular animated movies in recent years,The Return of the Great Sage in Journey to the West and White Snake: Origin,as the main research objects,this paper analyses the problems existing in the application of Chinese elements in Contemporary animated movies in order to produce more representative and innovative movies in the field of animated movies in China.New animated films provide new ideas and strategies.This paper will use literature retrieval,case analysis and comparative analysis to explore the application of Chinese elements in contemporary animated films.Specifically,this paper consists of five chapters,namely:The first chapter is mainly about the reasons for choosing the topic,the significance of the research,the research trends at home and abroad,the research methods and the innovations of this paper.The second chapter is an overview of the application of Chinese elements in contemporary animated movies.The main content is the overview of Chinese elements and the changes in the application of Chinese elements in the development of contemporary animated movies.The third chapter mainly takes "The Great Saint Return of Journey to the West" and "WhiteSnake: Origin" as examples to analyze the cultural background and story content of animated film scripts.In recent years,the stories of animated films in China are mostly combined with the themes of Buddhism,Taoism and mythology.At the same time,the original stories are adapted,deduced and creatively created,which makes the animated film industry in China glow with new vitality.The fourth chapter mainly analyses the audio-visual performance of Chinese elements in contemporary animated films.This paper analyses the selection and application of Chinese elements in Chinese animated films from four aspects: role modeling,scene design,action design and sound design.The fifth chapter analyses and summarizes the problems and solutions of Chinese elements in the application of contemporary animated films,and provides practical suggestions for the future application of Chinese elements in animated films.
