Research On The Cultural Symbolic Construction Of Monkey King Hero Is Back And Zootopia

The success of these two animated films,Zootopia and Monkey King Hero Is Back,has a very important and far-reaching significance in Hollywood and Chinese animation history.The research concerned about the Hollywood and the Chinese animated films are mainly focused on the aspects of cross-cultural communication,production and so on.This paper takes Zootopia and Monkey King Hero Is Back as the object of study,analyzes the construction of cultural symbols on the story,the image of the characters,Music and the use of color and other aspects of the two animated films under the theory of semiotics.Analysis shows that the Zootopia has been able to be successful,not only because of the advanced technology and storytelling way,more importantly,its innovation has always been ranked in the forefront of the world;Monkey King Hero Is Back as a Chinese animation film emerging new members,innovation is available,But there is a gap in the expression of the whole cultural symbol.This study is divided into three parts.The introduction is about the demarcation of the conception related to this study and the relevant exposition of the reason of samples election.The first and second chapters focused on analyze the cultural symbols on story line,role image,dialogue design and other aspects of these two animated movies.The third part analyzes the similarities and differences of these two films in cultural symbols construction.In the last chapter,the author expresses outlook about the prospect of this study.
