With the process of globalization and the promotion of the " Belt and Road",the number of international communities in China has gradually increased.This new type of community urgently needs the intervention of social workers to deal with conflicts caused by cultural diversity.However,at present,social workers in our country are lack of cultural competence when they are serving.Researches related to international community are mostly focused on macro aspects such as grassroots governance measures and policy improvement.Therefore,this study selects the cultural competence of social workers in international community service as the research problem,and explores how social workers enhance their cultural competence in international community service,to provide professional suggestions for social workers in the context of internationalization and to promote the implementation of social workers' participation in the " Belt and Road " strategic measures.This study uses the awareness-knowledge-skills three-dimensional framework of cultural competence in the psychology as the theoretical framework,selects the TCM(traditional Chinese medicine)class in the M city G community as the research case,conducts the research on social workers participating in the TCM class,and collects relevant research materials through the literature method,participatory observation and semi-structure interviews.After a serious analysis of the data,there are three findings:?Social workers will inevitably encounter conflicts caused by cultural diversity when they conduct services in an international community;?In response to such conflicts,social workers must have cultural competence to understand and examine their own worldviews and cultural biases,accumulate multicultural knowledge that may influence the service process,build a good relationship with culturally diverse clients,and have the ability to carry out cultural adaptive intervention;?When there are cultural diversities,there must be confrontation and competition of power behind culture.Social workers should pay attention to the needs and benefits of clients when they resolve conflicts caused by cultural diversity.This study is theoretically conducive to enriching relevant research on international community governance and services and relevant research on the cultural competence of social workers;in practice,it can provide experience for international community governance and services,and promote the development of social work practice.However,due to the researcher's limited research ability,experience and time,the research has many shortcomings in case selection,research object selection,data collection methods,theoretical application and data analysis.
