The Humanistic Value Of Whitehead's Organism Theory From The Perspective Of Marxism

On the cognition of human,the traditional ontological philosophy understands human as entity,which leads to the predicament of the development and innovation of human theory.From the perspective of practical materialism and historical materialism,Marx criticized the ontology of man,and then regarded man as a practical,concrete and realistic man.Whitehead,a scientific philosopher,used the philosophy of organism theory to criticize the Ontological anthropology.From the perspective of Marxist humanism,Whitehead's organism theory has important anthropological value.This paper holds that the value of Whitehead's humanistic thinking is mainly reflected in two aspects: First,his ontology,through the understanding and perspective of human at the metaphorical level,summarizes three basic characteristics of human existence with highly metaphorical philosophical language: process,wholeness and creativity,to overcome reconciliation to a certain extent.The paradox of ontological humanism has been resolved;the second is its innovative organic education concept,which reflects and criticizes the theoretical and practical dilemma of modern education from the perspective of human nature theory,and points out the way out for future education to human's free and all-round development.This paper attempts to discuss the humanistic value of Whitehead's body theory from the perspective of Marxist philosophy.The specific contents are summarized as follows:The first part briefly outlines the humanistic road opened by Marxism and its scientific interpretation of human beings.The second part mainly expounds the predicament of ontological human science and the birth and development of Whitehead's organism theory,and then highlights the new thinking and new perspective of human studies opened by the organism theory.The third part focuses on Whitehead's organic interpretation of human existence.Whitehead regards "human" as an organism of procedural existence,holistic existence and creative existence,and on this basis forms a unique understanding of "human" in organism theory.The fourth part mainly expounds the defects of modern education on the issue of "human cultivation",and then emphasizes the importance of Whitehead's organic education thought on the issue of "human cultivation".The fifth part mainly discusses theresponse of organic Marxism to Whitehead's organism theory in human thought in recent years,and rethinks and evaluates the limitation of his human thought from the standpoint of Marxism,in order to better promote the advance of Marxist human theory.
