Jia Pingwa,one of the most well-known writers of China,has a high reputation at home and abroad.Throughout his whole writing life,it is easy for us to find that not only his literature works are covered with the development traces of modern literature but also his works are closely related to the economic reform and opening-up of China.Observing Jia's elaborate works,we can easily find that his works such as Full Moon,which was rewarded as National Outstanding Short Story in 1978,the born of “the Reform Trilogy ”in last 80 s and Qin Qiang,Daideng published in the new century,are the obvious reflections of economic reform policy since he started to write.His works can be regarded as the representing collections of Chinese reform influence on the rural places.Taking the economic reform as the starting point,the thesis mainly analyzes Jia's five novels' descriptions and records toward rural places of China.They are Xiaoyue qianben,The twelfth Lunar month·The first Lunar month,Jiwowa Family,Qin Qiang and Daideng.Apart from them,the paper also discusses Jia's attitude changes towards the significant reform in the great process.The passage is made up of four sections.The first chapter mainly talks about the reform's great influence on Jia's life and literature works and discusses the complicated connections between the literature trends and his creation.The second part analyzes the prosperity of China's countryside at the beginning of the reform based on the set up of Household Contract Responsibility System and the changes of farmers' love and marriage conceptions by studying Xiaoyue qianben,Jiwowa Family and The twelfth Lunar month·The first Lunar month.Taking Qin Qiang as the studying object,the third chapter analyzes the rural areas' decline under the process of modernization and urbanization deep into essence from the point of economy and culture.The last part exposes thepredicament and dilemma faced by the countryside in the reform process from the perspective of grass-roots politics by studying Daideng.
