In the 20th century,the functional language school believed that language is a system and its basic function is communication.Therefore,it is necessary to focus on the flmction of language and combine the function with structure.Functional items in teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL)are classified according to the high frequency of use and other iconic features,so as to facilitate the systematic and in-depth research.Through data collection and based on the personal interest orientation,this paper focuses on the functional item of "praise",mainly from three aspects,that is,grammatical form,semantic expression and pragmatic situation,and through setting specific scenes to focus on pragmatic observation,and discusses the relevant teaching situation of "praise" functional item in TCFL.To achieve this,this thesis is divided into the following five portions:The first portion is the introduction.First of all,it illustrates the function and the function project,at the same time describes the status of function project in the research of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,including that of "praise" function project,and then comes up with the research content,ideas and significances of the paper,selects three functional Outlines with comprehensive current contents and summarizes five kinds of expressions of "praise",at the same time,briefly explains the source of corpus.The second portion is a special investigation respectively on "(noun/pronoun)+verb+adjective"(adverbs of degree),"not/none more so than","true...","come out on top",and related words such as "not only...but also...",analyzing the differences of various expressions from the aspects of form,semantics and pragmatics,and summarizing the errors in the process of learners' acquisition of Chinese by setting up specific communication situations and introducing cultural factors.The third portion is the study of the expression of "praise" function project,making comparisons from the three aspects of grammatical format,semantic function and pragmatic situation,and analyzing the differences among various types of expressions.The fourth portion is a holistic analysis of the reasons for the errors in the teaching of "praise",function project,and an in-depth investigation of the cultural factors of TCSL.Finally,it provides TCSL teachers with suggestions for teaching "praise" function project,by combining the cases of different expressions.The fifth portion is the conclusion,which vertically compares the emphases of learning five different expressions,points out the irnovation points and demerits of this thesis,and summarizes the viewpoints.
