Nanyang's Image And Language Features In Modern Chinese Travel Notes

China and Nanyang have been closely linked in the fields of economy,trade and culture for a long time.In the Ming Dynasty,Zheng He was constantly admiring the beautiful scenery of Southeast Asia when he traveled to Southeast Asia,even that he was willing to die here.Since 1840s,the Chinese people have suffered from wars.Some people living in Guangdong,Fujian and Hainan have fled their homes and immigrated to Southeast Asia.Singapore,Malaysia,Myanmar and Laos as the preferred living areas.After World War I,some scholars and poets were forced to exile to visit Southeast Asia.During this period,they left behind a large number of Chinese travel notes about the image of Southeast Asia,which showed the exotic customs and unique charm of Southeast Asia.Therefore,I am very interested in studying the Nanyang image and language features in modem Chinese travel notes.This article takes modern Chinese travel notes as the point,and describes the local culture in detail in combination with the identities of different travelers,thus reflecting the state of mind when describing the scenery.Through combing the relevant domestic and abroad research documents,it lays a good theoretical foundation for the in-depth study of this article.Using the research methods of history,iconology and literature,the tropical rain forest,island customs and house construction in Southeast Asia are described in detail.With the help of the images of indigenous people and Chinese in national costumes and houses,the pursuit of freedom and love by the local people is seen.As a result of these writers' wandering experiences,they really feel the hardships of the life of the indigenous people and Chinese immigrants at the bottom of the society.On this basis,it narrates the diversified religious beliefs caused by the local indigenous and multi-ethnic colonization and immigration,as well as the formed diet characteristics customs and culture,vividly showing the excessive overall image of modem Southeast Asia.Through the in-depth analysis of the language features of Nanyang description in modern Chinese travel notes,it can be found that the travel notes adopt a variety of expressions,including multi-lingual mixed expressions,lively style of writing and exaggerated and fantastic writing style,which makes the image of Nanyang in modern Chinese travel notes more stereoscopic.In recent years,with the continuous improvement of the comprehensive national strength of Southeast Asian countries,more and more tourists have been attracted.Through the study of the image of Southeast Asia in modem Chinese travel notes,this article understands the local natural scenery and customs,and explores the language features in travel notes,thus enriching the research on the image of Southeast Asia in the academic field and providing some reference for the construction of a good international cultural exchange relationship.
