With the development of society,English plays an important part in international communication.As a language and subject,it's also important for high school students to learn English well.Generally speaking,English learning anxiety is commonly found in high school students,to some extent,which may be good for students' learning but may have a bad influence on the development and education of students with high levels of English learning anxiety.In recent studies,scholars have studied relevant aspects of English learning anxiety among high school students.However,most of the studies are theoretical and empirical,more practical researches are needed to ease English learning anxiety of high school students more effectively.Group psychological guidance is an effective way to relieve students' mental problems,rediscover and improve them by interacting with each member in certain groups.It's also a proper way for high school students to ease the anxiety in English learning.The author has referred a large number of literatures to lay the foundation of this paper.According to the features of English learning,the author uses the English Classroom Anxiety Scale(FLCAS)to survey the current situation of English learning anxiety and to test the anxiety levels of students.The study also does a survey on students' anxiety levels of experimental group and control group by using FLCAS.The author does experiments on the experimental group from the view of group psychological guidance and does some researches on English learning anxiety.Students who take part in the group psychological guidance learn rational emotive therapy,relaxation training,psychological drama and other methods by experience them in certain group,so that they can relax themselves and adjust their emotions in daily life.Conclusions have been drawn out by comparing the statistics before and after the group psychological guidance.Conclusions are as follows:high school students have English learning anxiety commonly;group psychological guidance is a effective way to ease students' English learning anxiety.The strategy of group psychological guidance proposed in this paper can be used in a class or a small group made of students who have English learning anxiety.It's useful and practical for students who are busying with study.However,there are some defects in the study because of some limitations.
