Bom in Poland,Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin was one of the most influential composers in European music in the 19th century.Chopin's works adopted the popular romantic style at that time, and skillfully combined this style with his own patriotic feelings, creating many works of this style. These works are very famous in the field of piano music,so Chopin is also known as the piano poet.In the first half of the 19th century ballade was first a genre of literature,a form of verse with a stanzonic structurefolk ballade, usually one that depicts dramatic or demonic plots within a relatively rigorous framework.Around 1800,European literary circles regained interest in this kind of folk narrative poetry, and the romantic composer Chopin promoted the development of this genre. He was the first composer to apply this genre to piano music.Ballade no.1 in g minor,a magnificent epic work,is one of the most famous lasterpieces in Chopin's heyday.Ballade also has a broader significance because of Chopin. Most of the studies on Chopin's ballade are based on the analysis of music's own works, and there are few studies on the comparative analysis of playing versions,so it is impossible to provide sufficient reference materials for piano performance theory and piano education. This thesis focuses on a series of studies on the comparison of the playing versions of Chopin's ballade. The introduction mainly introduces the purpose and significance of this topic, the status quo at home and abroad, and the key issues and core of the research. The first chapter briefly introduces Chopin's life and the background of the first ballade. The second chapter is the detailed music ontology analysis of the ballade. The third chapter is a detailed exploration of the three versions of Cortot,Gould and Li Yundi, from macro to micro, from visual analysis diagram to detailed comparative analysis, which is also the core of this paper. This paper makes a detailed analysis of the subtle differences between master piano playing versions through the analysis method, hoping to provide reference materials for future piano playing theory and piano education.
