English writing is one of the four basic language skills(listening,speaking,reading,writing)that senior high school students' should master,which is the integrated embodiment of the cognition,thinking and writing skills.English writing is not only an essential component part of English teaching,but also an indispensable testing item of college entrance examination.Although senior high school students have a command of some basic grammar knowledge and accumulate a certain amount of vocabulary.Their writing ability is not optimistic at the present.Writing is the weakest part for them,what's worse,some students even don't know how to write.Lexical errors,grammar errors,discourse errors and other errors are emerging during writing.By collecting and analyzing the errors of senior high school students' English writing,this paper aims at solving the following key problems.First,what kinds of English writing errors do students most often commit?Second,the cause of English writing errors?During research,first of all,I will collect writing compositions of rural high school students in Jiujiang Tianjiabing Experimental Middle School and divided students' errors into four levels:technical errors,lexical errors,grammar errors,discourse errors.Each level will be divided into more specific.Second,based on the theory of error analysis and interlanguage theory,combining teachers' interviews with students' questionnaire survey and interviews,this paper tries to find out the causes of English writing errors.Lastly,according to the causes of errors,some pedagogical implications are put forward for teachers' teaching and students' learning of English writing.Hopefully,it will be both beneficial to the teachers and students in rural area.
