Japanese ceramic tea sets began to develop under the influence of the introduction of Chinese tea ceremony in the Kamakura era.With the gradual maturity and improvement of the Japanese tea ceremony in the Middle Ages,the establishment of a Japanese-style tea ceremony was completed in the Azuchi-Momoyama era.Japanese ceramic tea sets also imitated Chinese tea sets.Design,It has developed into a "harmony" Japanese tea set with national characteristics.Ceramic tea sets that will meet Chinese aesthetic thoughts,creations,and living habits,integrate Japanese national culture,artistic aesthetics,and understanding of tea ceremony.The tea ceremony spirit of the Middle Ages Japan affected the development of tea props design toward simple style;The life habits of the Japanese people in the Middle Ages when they were drinking tea regulated the functional utility of the tea props design.The Japanese advocate of nature,like gray tone and other cultural preferences,contributed to the design of ceramic tea props in a different style.In this paper,a literature analysis method is used to study the development of Chinese ceramic tea props under the influence of the establishment of Chinese tea ceremony culture.And with the comparative study of the time period(China and Japan)tea props design characteristics.This paper summarizes the characteristics of the design and development of Japanese tea sets in the Middle Ages and finds out the reasons why the Japanese tea ceremony affected the design changes of ceramic tea sets.The significance of the research lies in exploring the relationship between the development of the internalization of foreign culture and the design of local ceramics.How to transform the design with "characteristics" in foreign culture into a "original" design,in order to add new ideas to the study of Japanese ceramic tea sets.
