Over the years,with the automotive technological advancement by leaps and bounds,much more focus,domestieally and internationally,is devoted to fresh trends such as new energy vehicles,autonomous driving and Internet of Vehicles.Similarly,China has been enjoying a rapid development in automotive industry,which stimulates the learning and introduction from state-of-the-art technologies overseas.Functioned as a platform where new frontiers of technologies can be researched and introduced,the E-C translation of Comprehensive Solutions for E-mobility,Autonomous Driving and Connected Car can serve as a reference to the translation and research in automotive technological domain.On the basis of the E-C translation practice,this project report,guided by the Functional Equivalence Theory,aims to discuss the linguistic features,gives an analysis of major issues and difficulties at lexical,syntactic and discourse levels,and summarizes how to resolve them.Web of search engines,choice of words and conversion are employed as solutions to the difficulties in rendering terms;division,shifting and active voice are adopted as strategies to address rendering of long and complex sentences;thematic relation,cohesion and coherence are treated as focuses to secure smoothness in discourse translation.
