The Study On The Status Quo And Principles Of The Protection Of China's World Cultural Heritage In Urban Development

World Heritage,especially World Cultural Heritage,has witnessed many brilliant civilizations in the history of human development,and has highlighted the infinite wisdom of mankind for thousands of years,which is extremely unique and outstanding.Especially those World Cultural Heritage Situated in or around the city,each of which contains its unique historical accumulation,spiritual value,way of thinking and artistic charm.It reflects the city's past living conditions,people's creativity and the relationship between people and the environment.It is the glory of a city and the common material and spiritual wealth of the country and all mankind.However,with the increasing pace of urban development,the number of urban population continues to rise,the lack of awareness of heritage protection blindly demolished the old and built new,serious environmental pollution and other issues lead to many world cultural heritage suffered serious or even destructive damage.Since China acceded to the Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage in December 1985,53 heritage projects have been approved for inclusion in the World Heritage List,ranking second in the world in total,including 36 cultural heritage projects.From 36 world cultural heritage sites in China,this paper chooses many world cultural heritage sites which are geographically located in cities or have been greatly affected in the process of urban development and are closely related to the process of urban development as the research object,and takes the World Heritage List: Filling the Blank: Future Action Plan(2004/2005),published by the International Council of Monuments and Heritage Sites,as the definition of 14 cultural heritage sites.On the basis of types,the eligible World Cultural Heritage projects are classified into four types: parks/gardens,ancient cities/communities,cultural routes and ancient buildings.Typical cases are selected from various types of heritage to analyze the status quo and existing problems of heritage protection in urban development,and then the successful protection and management of the same type of world cultural heritage at home and abroad are absorbed.Experience and advanced concepts are summarized.Finally,the general principles of protection and implementation,which are in line with China's national conditions and can effectively respond to the destruction and erosion of world cultural heritage by the process of urban development,are summarized: the principle of overall protection,the principle of true protection,the principle of living protection,the principle of public participation,the principle of heritage sharing,the principle of risk prevention and control,and the principle of sustainable protection.Strengthening the research on the protection of the world cultural heritage in the process of urban development will help the government and the public to deeply understand the unity of opposites between the protection of the world cultural heritage and urban development.Based on mutual promotion,we can effectively enhance the awareness and protection of the cultural heritage,open up ideas,participate together and innovate a win-win way of protection and development.In the process of contemporary urban development,it is necessary to deepen the research on the protection of cultural heritage,protect the world cultural heritage effectively while promoting the healthy development of cities,and make good use of the world cultural heritage to improve the quality of cities and promote the sustainable development of urban culture is the feasible way.
