In 1979,the Government of Japan and the Government of the Peopled Republic of China signed the "Sino-Japanese Cultural Exchange Agreement" in order to promote Sino-Japanese relations and accelerate the third cultural exchange.Being an important element in cultural exchange,music exchange also entered a new interactive situation which is multi-channel,diversified and mutually cooperative.In this paper,music exchange after 1979 will be analyzed,and Chinese music works with Japanese music elements are the research objects.By adopting the method of combining music works and their culture background,this paper will mainly discuss the following questions:Whether the complicated international relations between China and Japan affect Sino-Japanese cultural exchange activities or not;The reasons for the differences in cultural exchanges between China and Japan;The music characteristics and exchange channels between the two countries in the new era;Whether the music communication had an influence on the development of Chinese music works with Japanese music elements or not,and if it is,how they are integrated into the work;And finally the reasons for fewer Japanese musical elements appearing in China.The study contributes to our understanding of the music exchange between China and Japan as well as the appearance of new Japanese-related music work.
