Study On Chiang Kai-shek's Track During The Anti-Japanese War(1937-1945)

During The Anti-Japanese War(1937-1945),as the highest leader of the Chinese government,Chiang kai-shek has great power,which can influence the war easily.Chiang kai-shek's track has 2reat value to study.This dissertation clarified Chiang's travel activities through Chiang kai-shek's Diary and Chronicle,and use GIS technology to drawing Chiang's track,in order to inquiry the relationship between Chiang's track and the international and domestic situation at that time.In business travels,Chians kai-shek's track has been subdivide into three periods,the Nanjing resistance,the Wuhan resistance and the Chongqing resistance,for his usual place of residence changed three times.The Nanjing resistance last half a year,Chiang's main activities were take on the east China.The Wuhan resistance last one vear,Chiang's sphere of activities transferred to the middle area of China.The Chongqing resistance last six and a half years.Chiang's sphere of activities transferred to the west China,Chiang also had three times of international travel during this period.Chiang kai-shek's activities were closely linked with the situation at home and abroad during 1931 to 1945.In Nanjing and Wuhan period,Chiang's attention was focus on the militant and his travel activities were directly related to the war.It's reflected the heavy fighting at the stage of the strategic defensive and Chiang's focus.During Chongqing resistance,the war got into the stage of the strategic stalemate,to keep the Chinese military's power,Chiang follow with interest the development of the rear area;after the establishment of the World Anti-Fascist Alliance,Chiang began to participate in international affairs.Chiang's personal travels also subdivided into two parts,private tours and personal trips during business travels.Chiang had four times of private tours during The Anti-Japanese War(1937-1945).Three of which were about have vacations,and the last one was about take Soong May-ling to the airport in 1942 and 1943 when Soong went to America to have treatment and request American assistance.Chiang loves travelling.his personal trips during business travels were malnly about travel.Chiang arranged his travels on purpose.Travel helps him relax and mold his temperament,and he keep his eyes open on the customs and social phenomena.The travel notes in Chiang's diary showed his wonderful inner word.As a professional politician,Chiang kai-shek has mixed his life and work,he arrange personal tour during business travels,and deal with official business on his vacation.Chiang's activities showed his military concept that he think senior generals should stay on the battlefront and he tries to control the army.Safe and convenient are the principles to choose vehicles when travelling,Chiang's physical condition also should be took into consideration.
