Deep reading emphasizes that reading should not only remain in the appearance of language,but also needs to go beyond the surface information,grasp the emotional attitude of the article and dig out the cultural connotation behind the language.At the same time,it attaches great importance to the deep thinking of readers and self-construction in the process of reading to let the reader develop the thinking quality and get real spiritual sublimation by reading.English reading teaching has been one of the important contents in English teaching for a long time and a main way for students to learn English.Deep reading in English can make students feel the unique charm of different culture and improve students'thinking ability in reading to dig out the significance and value of reading for self-sustained growth and development.In addition,junior high school students are in an important period of growth.Their minds have been greatly developed,but their thoughts and values have not yet matured.Therefore,it is of great significance for the future development of students to conduct English deep reading and guide students to form correct values and attitudes in reading.Based on the concept of deep reading,this study focuses on how to effectively implement English deep reading in junior high school English,aiming at providing some suggestions and references for the vertical development of English reading teaching in junior high school.This study is mainly carried out from the following five parts:the first part is the introduction,which elaborates on the origin,purpose and significance of the study.Meanwhile,the current situation of English reading teaching at home and abroad is sorted out and the research methods and ideas adopted in this study are specified.The second part is the theoretical part,which explains the idea of English deep reading in a systematic way,including its connotation,nature and value.The third part is the combination of deep reading and English subject.The process of deep reading in English is analyzed specifically.The fourth part is the analysis of current English reading teaching problems and causes in junior high school.The last part are the strategies about how to implement English deep reading in junior high school.It gives some suggestions according to the problems and causes.Through classroom observation and case analysis,the study finds that there are still some problems in current junior high school English reading teaching,for example,it mostly focuses on imparting language knowledge,only remains in the appearance of language information,but it doesn't pay attention to the values of the cultural connotation behind the language and the reading process.The main problems can be divided into three aspects:reading content remaining in the appearance,reading process without deep conduction and reading results restricted in the present performance.After analysis,this study believes that these problems are mainly caused by four aspects:the deviation in teaching objectives for teachers,shallow knowledge processing,teachers' weak curriculum awareness,and teachers' solidified teaching thinking.Based on the analysis of the existing problems and causes in the junior high school English reading teaching,this study puts forward the strategies for the implementation of English deep reading in junior high school.Firstly,the teaching process of reading should be deepened from three aspects:before reading,while reading and post reading.Secondly,it is necessary to improve the quality of English reading,such as,enriching English reading resources,attaching importance to students'extracurricular reading playing the positive role of emotional factors.At the same time,it is important for teachers to change the concepts of education,which requires teachers to accurately grasp the nature of English subject,establish a correct view of students and update teaching thinking.
