Flower and bird paintings and modern Western painting art have been typical representatives of Chinese and Western cultures since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The two interact with each other and promote the development of art.The performance of abstract factors in Western modern paintings is undoubted, the artist completely abandoned the realism, and the artistic style has become abstract.Chinese Ming and Qing dynasty freehand flower and bird paintings also have a very high degree of abstraction, the pursuit of "Yi pen grass" in the performance of pen and ink, from the shape to the like. Both China and the West in these two periods are experiencing the traditional law of denying realism and innovating into new forms of painting. The comparison between the two is not on the time axis, but in the two periods after the political transformation, the artistic features are relatively similar, and the painting performance pursues the abstract form.Artists are beginning to respect human creativity, pay more attention to expressing inner feelings, and changing the form of painting from figurative to non-figurative.The differences in the types of Chinese and Western paintings lead to the different expressions of abstract factors. This article will mainly focus on the subjective spiritual intervention in the flowers and birds paintings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the modern paintings in the West, the relationship between the writing and expression of the pen and the composition of the picture.Compare and study the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western abstract paintings. The first part of the thesis analyzes the evolution and causes of painting in these two periods, summarizes its artistic features, and provides a theoretical basis for the generation of abstract factors. The second part will discuss the formation of abstract factors from the intervention of flower and bird paintings and the subjective spirit of Western modern painters since the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Through comparison,it is concluded that although Chinese and Western paintings have different expressions in terms of painting form and spirit, the aesthetic theories pursued by the two aresimilar, and the abstract research of freehand flower and bird paintings in China since the Ming and Qing Dynasties is further in-depth.This paper compares the abstract factors in freehand flower and bird paintings and modern Western paintings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in order to understand the spirit behind historical culture and explore the value and significance of abstract ideas in painting. In the study and study,we constantly improve the spiritual connotation of contemporary ink paintings and flowers, and create unique works of our own.
