Senior high school stage is not only an important period for the rapid development of physical and mental development of adolescent students in the process of their growth,but also a primary period for them to establish and improve self-identity gradually.During this period,experiencing more well-beings does contribute to students to build and maintain a positive and confident mentation.Studying activities occupy plenty of time in senior high school students' daily life.There is no doubt that academic performance exerts a direct influence on students' external evaluation by schools,families,and society.Meanwhile,it also affects students' internal self-evaluation and has a further impact on subjective experience of students' well-being.This study explores the relationship between academic achievement and subjective well-being of senior high school students,and introduces two variables,social comparison and self-concept,to further analyze whether social comparison and self-concept play a mediating role between academic achievement and subjective well-being of senior high school students,and to present corresponding educational suggestions to enhance the subjective well-being of senior high school students and promote their mental health.This study has comprehensively collated and evaluated the related research,include concept,measurement tools and applied research,about these three variables.On this basis,taking senior high school students in Haikou City of Hainan Province as the research object,732 senior high school students of three senior high schools in Haikou have been selected to by using stratified sampling method.Through the analysis of their questionnaire results,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)In terms of social comparison,male students scored significantly lower in the self-depreciation dimension of social comparison than female students;grade one students' score of social comparison was significantly higher than that of grade two and grade threestudents,among which the scores of comparative orientation,upward comparison,parallel comparison and self-improvement dimensions,all showed a downward trend with the increase of grade.(2)In terms of self-concept,the self-concept level of senior high school male students is significantly higher than that of female students,while there is no significant difference in self-concept among students of different grades.(3)In terms of subjective well-being,the score of subjective well-being of senior high school male students are significantly higher than that of female students,while there is no significant difference in subjective well-being among students of different grades.(4)High school students' academic achievement,social comparison,self-concept and subjective well-being are significantly correlated except social comparison and self-concept;senior high school students' social comparison,as an individual external psychological resource,is negatively correlated with academic achievement and subjective well-being,while senior high school students' self-concept,as an individual internal psychological resource,is positively correlated with academic achievement and subjective well-being.(5)Senior high school students' academic performance,social comparison and self-concept can predict their subjective well-being.Specifically,senior high school students' academic performance can both positively predict their subjective well-being and self-concept,negatively predict their social comparison;senior high school students' social comparison can negatively predict subjective well-being;senior high school students' self-concept can positively predict subjective well-being.(6)Social comparison and self-concept of senior high school students play a mediating role between academic achievement and subjective well-being.
