Learning activities are the main practical activities and important life events that promote the healthy growth and development of students in junior high school.And self-esteem and academic self-concept are two of the key factors affecting students'development.Self-esteem is the individual's perception and evaluation in social communication.Healthy self-esteem is the basis of individual's mental health.Students in junior high school are in adolescence.Individual self-esteem is affected by various factors,such as physical and psychological factors.The academic self-concept is an individual's perception and evaluation of their own learning ability.For junior high school students,learning is their main task.Besides,their perceptions and attitudes towards learning are important factors which affect the academic level.This thesis mainly discusses the relationship between self-esteem,academic self-concept and academic achievement in rural junior middle school.It also aims to provide some theoretical and practical opinions and suggestions for improving junior high school students' self-esteem,academic self-study and academic performa nce.This study mainly uses questionnaire survey methods.539 junior high school students were randomly selected from two schools in Shangqiu.Statistical analysis methods were used to analyze the results of the questionnaire data,such as variance,analysis,correlation and regression.This study is to understand the relationship among junior high school students' self-esteem,academic self-concept and academic achievement.The data analysis results show that:(1)The overall level of self-esteem and academic self-concept in rural junior middle school students is at a middle level.There is no significant difference in gender between self-esteem and academic self.There was no significant interaction between grade and gender,and there were significant differences at the grade level.The self-esteem and academic self-concept of the students in the first grade are significantly higher than that of students in the second and third grade.(2)There is significant positive correlation between self-esteem,academic self-concept and academic performance of students in rural junior high school.There is significant positive correlation among the self-esteem of the literary profession,the self-concept of mathematics,the general academic self-concept and academic performance.(3)The concept of self-esteem and academics of the students in rural junior high school has a significant predictive effect on academic achievement.And they can also predict academic performance positively.In order to find the causes of junior high school students' academic malady,this paper is based on the study of the relationship among self-esteem,academic self-concept and academic achievement.Besides,this paper helps students to correctly view themselves.Finally,it can guide educators to promote self-esteem and academic self.
