The teaching objective is a clear and specific expression of what the learner can do after learning.Classroom teaching objectives play a very important role in the "teaching" of teachers and the "learning" of students.It not only affects the teaching process,but also the final learning results.During the internship,the author found that the first-line English teachers have the phenomenon that the classroom teaching objectives are ineffective,some just list the knowledge,and others copy.Therefore,how to design classroom teaching objectives requires us to explore.The author will pay attention to the design of English classroom teaching objectives in primary school,and the purpose is to provide reference for teachers.This paper consists of five parts.The introduction mainly expounds the reason and significance of the topic selection,research ideas and methods,and carries out the core concept,domestic and international research review,the theoretical basis of this research.The first chapter takes the candidates of primary school English teachers in Hainan Province as an example.It investigates and analyzes the design of primary school English classroom teaching objectives and finds that there are problems in the classroom teaching objectives.The second chapter summarizes the problems in the design of classroom teaching objectives: the awareness of teacher's classroom teaching objectives is weak;the orientation of the classroom teaching objectives is biased;the classroom teaching objectives are unclear;the method or strategy objectives are missing.The third chapter analyzes the reasons for the problems:the teachers' awareness of the design of teaching objectives is not strong;the analysis of the teaching materials,the Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards and the students' conditions is not accurate;lack of methods and techniques for teaching objectives design.The fourth chapter gives some suggestions on the problems:the design of classroomteaching objectives should be based on the curriculum standards,teaching materials and students' conditions;Then,it should be student-oriented,specific and operable;Combined central task with sub-goal objectives.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,it analyzes the shortcomings and prospect of this research.
