At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China,along with the establishment of new schools,music education in schools gradually attracted people's attention.School music education,as an important part of China's education,has undergone a historical process of staggering,initial development and system construction.Music textbooks,as one of the core elements of music teaching,have always been attached importance to by schools at all levels,and become an important carrier of music classroom teaching,as well as the concern of music educators,and become compilers,implementers and practitioners of music textbooks.The object of this paper--Li Jinhui is such a representative.This paper takes the popular music textbook edited by musician Li Jinhui as the research object,takes the dual research perspective of music history and music pedagogy,through the analysis of the popular music textbook,summarizes the characteristics of the knowledge system of the popular music textbook,and compares the popular music textbook with the representative music textbooks of the same period,so as to show the compilation of the textbook.The unique theoretical significance and application value condense Li Jinhui's contribution to basic music education.This paper consists of introduction,four chapters and nine chapters and conclusion.The introduction explains the theoretical basis and research significance of the paper.Chapter one shows Li Jinhui's life and music contribution through literature combing and reading,and gives objective historical evaluation.Chapter two makes a multi-angle and multi-level analysis of Popular Music Textbook,pointing out the worldwide and national,ideological and artistic,scientific and rigorous,civilian and universal characteristics of its knowledge system.Chapter three compares Popular Music Textbook with Zhu Sudian,Pan Mingming's Primary School Music Textbook and Shen Binglian's Children's Music Textbook to clarify the unique theoretical significance.The fourth chapter discusses the diversified pursuit of the mass music textbook and its practical significance for the compilation of the current music textbooks.The conclusion summarizes the whole article and presents the historical value and shortcomings of Popular Music Textbook.
