Popular Music The Status Quo For Public Music Class In College

More than ten years of the implementation of the quality education, the topic of pop music into the public colleges and universities continue to impact on the thoughts of college music educators. Though there are many concerns in the issues and difficulties that it is how pop music into the ordinary college music classes, the necessity and feasibility to open it let a lot of people in the music field has already reached a consensus, and also receive attention from social and school. Currently, there are not many research articles on popular music education in college , most of them are inferred by personal experience , which are lack of investigation of empirical research. So I hope that we can research through music education in colleges and universities on the status of popular music on teaching content, teaching methods, teaching goals and faculty and other issues that we discuss from a theoretical point of view, in order to get a kind of more accurate orientation to its researchers and workers in general music education,so that can provide some reference to them,and enrich the theory of popular music education in colleges and universities to promote the healthy development of music education.
