The Tang Dynasty was the peak stage of the development of Chinese Buddhist art.It formed a systematic and standardized character in the art of sculpture and mural painting,which still has great influence on Buddhist art after Tang Dynasty.This paper studies the sculptures and murals art of the three existing Buddhist temples in the Tang Dynasty.It intends to interpret the relationship between the interior configuration and the architecture through the carrier of the temple,explore the artistic features of the sculptures and murals in the temple,and deeply analyze the aesthetic causes of the mural paintings in the temple,and clarify the artistic space of the buddhist temple.At the end of the article,the reasons for the formation of the Tang Dynasty temple sculpture and mural art are analyzed,and explores its potential artistic value and cultural concepts in depth.The full text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction.This paper mainly analyzes the research background,research status,research methods and ideas of the subject.The second chapter is an overview of the three existing Buddhist temples in the Tang Dynasty.This chapter focuses on the historical background,architectural form,decorative characteristics,on this basis,the relationship between the internal configuration and architecture of the three buddhist temples is deeply explored.On the basis of inheriting the architecture of the Han and Wei Dynasties,the Buddhist temples of the Tang Dynasty paid attention to the functionality and artistry of the architecture.The grade,shape and size of the architecture will affeect the specifications of the sculpture in the temple.The third chapter focuses on the study of sculpture art in the temple.It analyzes the characters in different configurations and explores the artistic characteristics of sculpture in three aspects:design,costumes and material selection.Existing sculptures have changed the artistic style of traditional statues in the aspect of sculpture shape.The body are plump and flexible,the clothes are lithe and soft,and the jewelry are gorgeous and delicate.In the sculpture process,it pay attention to show the beauty of human:nuscles and the depiction of the body lines.The fourth chapter focuses on the study of mural art in the temple.Classification research is carried out from the image content,configuration relationship and scenes of murals,and explore the artistic characteristics of the images,costumes,colors and layout of the murals.The layout of the murals is reasonable,the composition is clear and distinct,the relationship between the characters is balanced,and the color processing is combined with large-area smearing and partial smudge,focusing on creating a sense of balance and order.The fifth chapter analyzes the aesthetic causes of the Buddhist temples in the Tang Dynasty.The formation of the temple sculpture and mural art in the Tang Dynasty is influenced by many factors such as politics,economy and culture.The configuration and architecture in the temple belong to the interaction and complement each other.The selection of characters has become the characteristics of localization,realism,and humanity.This paper makes a new exploration of the sculpture and mural art of the Buddhist temples in the Tang Dynasty by using the research method of interdisciplinary theory.On the basis of exploring the art of sculpture murals,based on image analysis,through the combination of field investigation and literature materials,taking the configuration relationship of sculptures and murals as the breakthrough point,through the comprehensive analysis of sculptures and murals,the image characteristics and aesthetic causes of the Tang Dynasty temples are interpreted.
