Since Buddhism was introduced into China in the Han Dynasty,Buddhist art came into being and developed into the heyday of Buddhist art in the Tang Dynasty.The Tang Dynasty continued its rule for nearly 300 years,which made the social economy into an overal prosperity.The Chinese translation of scriptures supported by the ruling class promoted the perfection of religious ideology.Under multiple social backgrounds,Buddhist art has been greatly promoted.The openness of social politics and culture and the pursuit of both form and spirit by literati have played an important role in the development of Buddhist art.The prosperity and wide influence of Buddhist statue art in Tang Dynasty is an important part in the history of Chinese sculpture art.This dissertation first analyzes the impact of political development of the Tang Dynasty,the rise of female consciousness,sects,the spread of ancient Indian religious art and other social and cultural factors on the religious themes,modeling style and other aspects of the statue art.To explore the dynamic characteristics of the artistic style change of Buddhist statues under the spirit of the times and social factors of tolerance and openness in the Tang Dynasty.Secondly,this researcher demonstrates the mutual promotion development path between Buddhist statues and painting art in the traditional cultural context of painting and sculpture.In the Tang Dynasty,the most representative "Wujia style" and "Zhoujia style" are selected to analyze their application in the art of Buddhist statues,and the the relationship between the two in the dynamic artistic expression.Finally,the Buddhist statues in four main areas are selected from the regional grottoes and temple sites of the Tang Dynasty,and the dynamic evolution of the style of the statues and the development of the techniques are analyzed.From these typical archaeological sites,the most representative remains of Buddha statues are selected,and the dynamic evolution of their modeling is analyzed systematically.This paper mainly studies the two themes of Buddha and Bodhisattva and analyzes the changes and development of the sculpture techniques and the Dynamic realism of the statue from in the period.As a three-dimensional sculpture,the modeling language of Buddha statue is bound to establish contact with the audience.This dissertation deeply explores how the ancient craftsmen used the modeling form,details and other ways to produce the dynamic sense of beauty in visual aesthetics.At the same time,as a part of religious space,Buddha statues and the space they live in form a complete Buddhist image system.This research selects several typical religious spaces of Tang Dynasty cave temples,and makes a further analysis of the statue layout in the space,to explore the visual sense differences of statues in different religious spaces,in order to more completely restore the religious intention and aesthetic ideas of the space designers.
