Our country values translation work so much that excellent domestic translation theories have started to become more popular around the world.Eco-Translatology is an emerging subject combining Translation Studies and the Natural Ecosystem. This new theory has its own widely applicable translation strategy,so this paper is attempting to complete the translation under the guidance of Eco-Translatology.This paper is a report based on a historical work. The historical work mainly describes the development of slavery around the world from 1783 to 1937,especially in the United States and gives an abundance of detail about the living condition of slaves."Three Dimensional Transformation"(language, culture and communication)is the main translation method. In the terms of language dimension, translators have an option to adapt the original source according to the differences between two languages. In terms of culture,as the translator I compared Chinese cultural background with foreign cultural backgrounds and express the meaning behind culture. As for the communication dimension, communication is the most important aspect. The translator has to be able to accurately understand the information that the original author wants to express in order to achieve the communicative purpose. The translator used some examples to explain the application of Eco-Translatology in the process of translating.Furthermore, this paper will reveal that translation practice is really helpful in improving translation abilities and accumulates rich experience for future translation practices.
