Zeng jing was an influential portrait painter in the late Ming and early qing dynasties.On the basis of inheriting the ancient law and absorbing the influence of many external factors,his portraiture has gradually formed an artistic style with both time characteristics and strong personal characteristics through constant integration and development.There are many studies on Zeng jing in the academic circle,but most of them only focus on the formation background and surface techniques of Zeng jing portrait painting,but ignore the factors that influence the transformation of the figure painting to the expressive techniques.It is the subject of this paper to discuss the relationship between Zeng jing and traditional figure painting from the changes of artistic expression techniques of figure painting in different periods.This paper will discuss the influence of Zeng's portrait on Chinese characters from three aspects.First of all,this paper discusses the figure painting before Zeng jing,starting from the spiritual influence of traditional culture,synthesizes the existing figure painting works of all dynasties,studies the painting expression techniques with common characteristics,and summarizes the three characteristics of traditional figure painting:imagification,planarization and stylization.Then it discusses the reasons for the formation of his portraiture from the background of his time,his personal travel,the inheritance of ancient law and the introduction of western painting.Finally,the paper discusses the influence of Zeng jing on the figure painting in qing dynasty and modern and contemporary times,and analyzes the change of expression techniques of figure painting after Zeng jing.The article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the article macroscopically from the aspects of research purpose,ideas and methods.The second chapter mainly introduces the expressive techniques of traditional Chinese figure painting,which lays a foundation for the later change of the expressive techniques of Chinese figure painting from the portrait of Zeng jing.The third chapter is an overview of Zeng's historical background,his life,literature records and artistic causes,and an analysis of the influence of his surroundings on his aesthetic thoughts.This paper also discusses the influence of the ancient law,the experience and the collision of Chinese and western cultures on the formation of the portrait of Zeng jing,and analyzes the artistic causes of the portrait of Zeng jing,so as to better and more comprehensively evaluate the innovation and value of the portrait of Zeng jing to the traditional figure painting techniques.In the fourth chapter,from the perspective of aesthetic thoughts,the author analyzes Zeng's portrait painting techniques and his fusion of ancient and western painting techniques to create the unique painting techniques of "ink bone technique".The fifth chapter discusses the influence of the portrait of Zeng jing on the figure painting of later generations,discusses the development of the figure painting of qing dynasty under the influence of Zeng jing,and discusses the influence of the portrait of Zeng jing on the figure painting of modern and contemporary times.Through the study of the portrait portrait technique of Zeng jing,the author discusses its influence on Chinese figure painting,hoping to provide some reference for the future study of portrait portrait of Zeng jing scholars.
