The Study On <The Complete Works Of Laiqing Garden> By Zhang Sanyi

The Complete Works of Laiqing Garden is a personal collection of poems and essays by Zhang Sanyi(1609A.D.-1691A.D.),a famous scholar from Hanyang in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.This paper mainly adopts the traditional philological methods to study the Complete Works of Laiqing Garden.On the basis of complete understanding of the original masterpiece,this paper analyses Zhang Sanyi s academic points and the literature value of the Complete Works of Laiqing Garden.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part mainly introduces Zhang Sanyi's life anecdotes,social activities and his achievements.The second part classifies and studies the essays included in the Complete Works of Laiqing Garden and then verifies its versions.The third part tries to explore the ideological content in this masterpiece mainly from three aspects:Confucianism,History and Literature.The last part mainly evaludates the literature value of the Complete Works of Laiqing Garden.Generally speaking,the Complete Works of Laiqing Garden is the crystallization of Zhang Sanyi s life.In this paper,we can comprehend Zhang Sanyi s varied ideological activities during different periods.To a certain extent,it reflects the social and living conditions of lower officials in the Feudal society during the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.
