Wang Jianzhong's Four Folk Songs Of Northern Shanxi

Wang Jianzhong is a modern composer,music educator and piano educator in China.He mainly composes piano music by adapting folk music materials Among them,piano adapted music accounts for the vast majority of his work.His piano work shave a high artistic level and reflect the creative characteristics and styles of various periods.Most of Wang Jianzhong's piano adaptations were created in the special historical period of the "Cultural Revolution".His piano adaptations basically use music m-aterials originating from the nation and tradition,but not completely equal to the traditional music,but add new music content to the tra-ditioanl music materials.This is quite different from western piano music.Although many western composing techniques have been used for reference in terms of structure,harmony and techniques,they have been nationalized and localized.His music works conform to the music aesthetic habits of the Chinese people and are deeply loved by the music circles.They also make contributions to the inheritance and promotion of Chinese tra-ditional music and national music."Four Folk Songs of Northern Shanxi"compiled by Mr.Wang in 1973 as the research object.On the whole,this paper studies the background of Wang Jianzhong's"Four Folk Songs of Northern Shanxi","Shandan Blo-ssom Red and Brilliant","Military and Civil Production","Embtoidered Golden Plaque","Turning over Dao Qing"in terms of its musical form and texture.On this basis,the structure,texture and other musical elements of the piano adaptation are analyzed to deepen the understanding of Wang Jianzhong's piano adaptation techniques and national characteristics.Through the understanding of Wang Jianzhong's piano creation ideas from this set of works,and the wide spread of his work,to further explore the significance of Wang Jianzhong's piano adaptation to the development of Chinese piano music.
