Since the Chinese society entered the 13th five-year plan period,general secretary xi jinping has attached great importance to cultural construction,emphasizing that cultural developments are closely linked to the China's future.On March 12,2017,the<Plan for the Revitalization of Traditional Chinese Crafts>,briefly as "PRTCC",was approved and released.In May 2018,the first batch of national traditional craft revitalization catalogue was released.A total of 383 crafts were selected nationwide,among which Wuhan Wooden-Boat Carving Technology,briefly as "WWBCT" was selected.The craft of wooden boat models originated from Han Dynasty,and as a category of it,WWBCT originated in Yichang at the end of the 19th century.Up to now,the craft has been passed down for four generations in the Long's family.The fourth generation inheritor,Long Congfa,is one of the few perseveres of WWBCT.The craft has been rated as provincial and municipal intangible cultural heritage and is now one of the first batch of traditional crafts selected into the national catalogue of revitalization of traditional crafts among Wuhan.At present,there are rarely few researches on Wuhan Wooden-Boat Carving Technology.The information of WWBCT on the Internet is scattered and old-fashioned.In this essay,I will dig into the history,current situation,characteristics and cultural value of WWBCT,on the basis of field research and any solid documents that can be found in any way so far.The narrative of "boat" runs through the Book of Songs,poetry of Tang Dynasty,ancient novels and modern novels,and has different textual functions in different stages.More importantly,the essence of this essay is to explore and analyze the countermeasures of the revitalization of WWBCT.It calls for a renewed connection to the market for WWBCT to be evolved into people's daily lives,and to do so,WWBCT should dig deeper into art collection market with the help of art advisor.By exploring the vast possibilities of social media,WWBCT could find its way to be known and recognized by more people.What's more,WWBCT needs to play a role in history recording,and the role as regional cultural icon and the icon of nationwide.
