Entering the 21 century,China's economy has gone through rapid development.Science and technology has been in continuous innovation and advance,and the living standard has drastically increased.All these changes benefit different industries,among which cosmetics industry is one of the largest sectors.The love of beauty is women's nature.In order to occupy larger market share and make more profits,cosmetic companies make the best use of all media and communication channels to invest in and create print advertisement,TV advertisement,and Internet advertisement.These advertisements adopt perfect imagination contexts to touch numerous women's heart and persuade them to purchase,by catering to their spiritual seek of beauty and showing-off.With the study of current status of coloring and print advertisement at home and abroad,the author analyzes "color,meaning,and image" and illustrates "preference,association,and action" in the color image of women's cosmetic advertisement.It is found that the main methods adopted in the design and communication of women's modern advertisement include celebrity advertisement,plain advertisement,product display,coloring match,emotional vision,modern atmosphere,unique innovation,all of which are used to emphasize the receivers' preference,choice,and association to cosmetic products.The current study provides reference for color application in the design of print advertisement by cosmetic companies and provides suggestions for receivers when choosing women cosmetics.
