In this paper,the first official catalogue of the Buddhist scriptures in the earlier Song Dynasty,Da Zhong Xiang Fu Bao Lu,as the research objects.It had recorded the translation of Buddhist scriptures in the year 982 to 1011.The paper is divided into four chapters.The first is the introduction,which explains the purpose,significance,research status and methods of this paper.The first chapter gives an overview of the background of the compilation of Xiang Fu Lu.By studying the social and cultural background of the earlier Song Dynasty and discussing the Buddhist policy at that time,through that way,we can explore the system of the translation of the Sutras.The second chapter research of the editors and translator of Xiang Fu Lu that discussed the lifetime and achievement,to find out the real editors.At the same time,The Chinese-native Buddhist monks who were trained by the Indian Sutra Academy were able to translate the sutras,and their contributions to the translation of the Sutras in the earlier Song Dynasty were discussed.The third chapter complied the style and content of Xiang Fu Lu.To tracing the thoughts and document of Xiang Fu Lu,we can find out that the dominance of the kingship to the magisterium.The forth chapter,The historical position and influence of Xiang Fu Lu are discussed.This part mainly explores the process of spreading and losing Xiang Fu Lu and its influence on the catalogue of Buddhist Sutras of later generations.
