The Embodiment Of The Concept Of Soul In Art Works From Silk Painting Of The Warring States Period

This paper studies from the embodiment of the “Guiding the soul to heaven”concept of soul in silk paintings of the Warring States Period,to the contemporary artists' new ideas and inspirations on the theme of soul with today's scientific explanation of the soul.In the past,many scholars have very thorough research to the Warring States silk painting,such as Zhang Zhiguang and Chen Huang.However,most of them started from the land,picture content and the social status quo,and very few of them combined the silk paintings of the Warring States with the concept of " Guiding the soul to heaven ".This paper discusses the influence of this view on the burial objects in the Warring States period from the perspective of " Guiding the soul to heaven ",and with the change of times,the new concept of soul has a certain impact on the creation of modern art.It can be seen that the new and old concept of soul have some inheritance and development.Therefore,the following will study different art forms under the same theme,so as to obtain new self-cognition and find a suitable breakthrough point for better creation.In all ages,Chinese people have always wanted to achieve the condition that man is an integral part of nature.For example,from the perspective of witchcraft,it has a practical purpose,that is,people want to communicate with deity.The development of practical rationality in China is also triggered by this kind of thinking."Guiding the soul to heaven" is the embodiment of the ancient concept of soul,which often appears in the ancient rituals and also becomes a belief of the ancient people.However,nowadays,due to the development of science,scientists begin to deny the existence of soul and try to convince people that there is no soul in a scientific way.However,this cannot prevent human beings from hoping that life can continue after death.Therefore,there are still many contemporary artists who use soul as the theme of their creation.This paper consider that the thought of "Guiding the soul to heaven" led to the appearance of silk paintings of the Warring States period,and the new concept of soul of later generationshas exerted an influence on the works modern and contemporary artists.This paper uses the following methods: 1.Works study analysis method: in-depth study and analysis of works produced in various times under the influence of the concept of soul in all ages,to explore the thinking mode and the evolution way of "guiding souls to heaven",as well as the influence and promotion effect on the current creation.2.Action research method: in addition to consulting existing survey reports,research papers and relevant statistical data,conduct some actual surveys to lay a foundation for obtaining correct innovative thinking and creative methods.3.Literature analysis: collect relevant materials that is needed from various literatures.4.Induction:carry out theoretical and practical research from the background of domestic and foreign social,cultural background and the method of induction and summary.5.Experiential Summary Method: based on the in-depth analysis and innovative research on the works produced by the concept of soul,and discuss how to promote the development of art in a broader scope.This paper elaborates the concept through five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.The second chapter mainly explains the concept of "Guiding the soul to heaven" of the ancient concept of soul and compares the development of the foreign concept of soul.The third chapter mainly analyzes the contents of silk paintings of the Warring States and the meanings of its special symbols.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the inheritance and development of the concept of soul after the contemporary scientific explanation of soul,as well as the embodiment in contemporary artists' works.
