Mythology began in the 19 th century and flourished in the early 20 th century,and the study of sinology in this period was also in the transition period from amateur sinology to professional sinology.At the same time,Chinese modern newspapers came into being in the early 19 th century,and the study of folklore in the west was just starting.In the context of colonialism and western learning introduced into China,foreigners came to China,such as missionaries,diplomats,businessmen,etc,to translate and spread Chinese society,economy,culture,local conditions and customs.Although they have political purposes with newspaper in China,most of newspaper are for the purpose of translation in China,spreading Chinese traditional culture to the world,facilitating foreign trade,cultural exchanges with China,to show the world China's traditional culture,especially the English newspapers and magazines.This paper presents the characteristics of cross-cultural communication of Chinese myths through five chapters from the perspective of Hermeneutics by sorting out and studying Chinese myths in English newspapers in the 19 th century.The first chapter introduces the background,significance,literature review,research methods and innovative ideas.The second chapter,starting from the carrier of Chinese mythology in the 19 th century,analyzes the characteristics and significance of newspapers in the cross-cultural communication of Chinese mythology in the 19 th century.The third chapter analyzes the characteristics of cross-cultural communication of Chinese myths in English newspapers in the 19 th century,from the perspective of communicator,theme and content.The fourth chapter is the interpretation of Chinese mythology from the perspective of Hermeneutics,analyzing the interpretation of Chinese mythology from the perspectives of mythological figures,mythological concepts and elements.The fifth chapter analyzes the reconstruction of the cross-cultural communication of Chinese fairy tales.The innovation of this paper lies in the analysis of the cross-cultural communication of Chinese fairy tales in English newspapers in the 19 th century from the perspective of Hermeneutics.Hermeneutics focuses on the understanding and meaning construction of cross-cultural communication and emphasizes the understanding of cross-culturalphenomena from the perspective,that is,from the specific historical,cultural,political and economic context.From the perspective of Hermeneutics,cross-cultural communication is communication collision and consultation integration from different perspectives.Based on the theory of Hermeneutics as the framework,through see,before its historical understanding,horizon fusion core concepts for the analysis of Chinese myth in newspapers and magazines,such as rendering Chinese mythology shows the characteristics of the process of external communication,interpret different myths of the interpretation,misreading and reconstruct the main phenomenon,and cross-cultural communication macro to explore the influence factors of myth spread.It is found that under the Hermeneutic perspective,the restriction of special historical and cultural context,the historical understanding and the resulting prejudice are the root of the variation in the spread of fairy tales.From the perspective of Hermeneutics,the communicator's cultural identity,historical and cultural context and cross-cultural cultural differences also have a significant influence on the interpretation of Chinese myths.In the process of cross-cultural communication,whether it is a cultural exporter or importer,be sure to overcome all understand the limitations of historical play the positive role of disseminator's own cultural identity,optimize communication strategy,correctly deal with cultural differences,starting from the perspective of cultural diversity in the spread of activities,to promote the spread of Chinese excellent traditional culture to English world.
