Research Of Non-Framework Design In Cultural Architecture

In modern life,people face and deal with a large amount of complex information every day.In architectural space,the accurate and timely transmission of spatial information is the guarantee for the comfort and efficiency of human activities,which largely depends on the design of the wayfinding system.In the news,there are often reports that people cannot find their way due to the design defects of the wayfinding systems.On the one hand,the information expansion makes people overwhelmed,and they are difficult to distinguish and obtain effective guide information from the space;On the other hand,the lack of guiding information in part of the space also makes people feel confused.As a bridge connecting architectural space and people's activities,wayfinding system is the carrier and transmitter of spatial information.This paper explored and summarized function and the special significance of wayfinding system through a bottom-up approach.And meanwhile,based on a lot of design examples,the paper put forward the concept of Non-framework design,and also proceeded to definition,classification and a systematic analysis of the value.Non-framework design embodies that the wayfinding system could undertake more functions or responsibility in the spatial environment,it improved the identification of spatial environment(in cultural construction,also as known as cultural context)into a great magnitude.The design has been proved could effectively guide the behavior of people,and left people a deep spcace memory to the environment.Non-framework liberates the constraints of the information media from the traditional wayfinding system,and even could break through the scope of vision,which means auditory,tactile and other senses are able to become the methods of information acceptance and recognition.Non-framework not only has special functional value,but also conveys modern design concepts such as sustainable design and people-oriented design,which provides a new direction for the development of the wayfinding system in the future.
