J.M.Sperger,an outstanding representative of the Vienna School during the classical period,created many works of the double bass,of which his four sonatas were typical works of the double bass during the classical period and were very valuable for the double bass player.Sonata in D Major T40 is one of the important works.In view of the changes in the tuning of the double bass from the creative period to the present,the work has produced multiple versions.Taking these versions as the research object,the author compares and analyzes the score editions and performance versions of this work,and gives some suggestions for interpretation,and hopes that the method of this research should be used as a reference for playing similar works in the same period.
