Chinese cultural textbooks refer to Chinese cultural textbooks written in Chinese for second language learners.Zhou Xiaobing(2004)divided Chinese cultural textbooks into two categories: one is pure cultural textbooks and the other is language and culture textbooks.Exercise has the function of information source,guidance,diagnosis and feedback.Exercise is not only a means to consolidate knowledge and form skills,but also a tool to evaluate teaching effect.All textbooks should pay attention to the role of exercises,the setting and arrangement of exercises,and cultural textbooks are no exception.However,in today's Chinese language teaching,the achievements of cultural textbooks are not a lot,especially for the discussion of the preparation of cultural textbook exercises is rare.This paper chooses two advanced language and culture textbooks as the research objects,one is "An Advanced Reader I Cultural Interpretation of China" edited by Wang Hailong and the other is "Advanced Chinese for Humanities(I)" edited by Wang Zhirong.This study analyses and compares the various proportions of the two textbooks from the perspective of setting and arranging exercises to examine the quantity,pattern and content of the two textbooks.On the basis of the data,this paper finds out some characteristics and problems in the exercise setting and arrangement of the two textbooks,and puts forward some suggestions for the compilation of the exercises of advanced language and culture textbooks of TCSL.In aspect of exercise quantity,this paper investigates whether the setting and arrangement of the exercise quantity is scientific and reasonable through the statistical comparison and analysis of the overall situation of the quantity,subjective and objective pattern of the quantity and related content of the quantity of the two textbooks,and then puts forward some suggestions in terms of the amount of questions.In aspect of exercise pattern,the emphasis of the arrangement of exercise pattern and the use of various types of exercise are investigated through the statistical comparison and analysis of the overall situation,classification and arrangement of the two textbooks,and then some suggestions are put forward for the terms of exercise pattern.In aspect of exercise content,through the overall analysis,specific situation analysis and cross-cultural communication content analysis of the exercise content of the two textbooks.This paper investigates whether the exercise content of the textbooks conforms to the characteristics of the language and culture textbooks,which is mainly focus on cultural knowledge content and also have language knowledge,in order to cultivate learners 'cross-cultural communicative ability,and explore whether the exercise content meets the actual teaching needs.Some suggestions are put forward on the exercise content.
