The Research Of Contemporary Chinese Feminist Art

The theoretical basis of contemporary Chinese feminist art stems from Western feminist theory and develops to some extent by drawing on its art.Western feminist theory has formed three waves of feminism in history,and developed different theoretical schools.In the second wave of feminism,Western feminist art became a branch of its culture according to social movements,focusing on different social issues at different stages of its development.Chinese feminist art develops from the art of "85 New Wave" and feminine art.Compared with Western feminist art,they have similarities and differences in theoretical foundation,social practice,cultural concept and critical goal.The full text is based on the methodology of art sociology.Since China has not yet established its own feminist theoretical system,it is guided by Western feminist theory,and exemplified pictures analyzed by semiotics and iconology for exploring the Causes of Chinese Feminist Art and the Characteristics of Different Western Models.Western feminist theory has been separated introduced to China by twice.First,the liberal feminist theory and Marx's emancipation of women concept were introduced in May Fourth movement period.Second,the introduction of other feminist schools after the reform and opening up.The background of contemporary Chinese feminist art has many causes.Chinese traditional concept consciousness,the reality of contemporary Chinese women's living conditions,Western feminist theory and art have all had an important impact on contemporary Chinese feminist art.From the perspective of the comparison between Western feminist art and contemporary Chinese feminist art,they all share the same and cross-cultural patriarchal ideology,using the same points expressed by physiological symbols;but the meaning of the theoretical basis and physiological symbols differences in expression.The content changes from the contemporary Chinese feminist art have experienced three stages.The first stage is that female art is concerned with the gender role formed by patriarchal consciousness from a female perspective.The second stage is the emergence of Chinese feminist art and the construction of the discourse with physiological symbols.The third stage is that feminist art resists patriarchal consciousness from the perspective of gender differences.The above three stages of development show that contemporary Chinese feminist art develops along with the development of Chinese modern and contemporary art,rather than that the emergence of Western feminist art along with social movements and practice.The main categories of contemporary Chinese feminist art are including painting,sculpture,performance art,installation art and photography.In the above classifications,specific works of art involve different and certain degrees of specific gender issues in Chinese culture and society,as well as general and cross-regional gender issues.Contemporary Chinese feminist art has the tendency ofhomogenization of contemporary art and the characteristics of globalocalism.Contemporary Chinese feminist art not only pays attention to gender issues in Chinese society,but also provides a positive meaning for global women's liberation.
